Following on from the 2022-23 budget, the Victorian government has pledged $1 billion through the National Skills Agreement towards education funding, an additional 480,000 free TAFE course places.
This agreement will commence on 1 January 2023 and will aim to deliver 180,000 fee-free TAFE and vocational education places throughout 2023.This additional funding aims to provide more opportunities for Victorians to receive skills training in in-demand industries such as aged care.
